In 2004, Martin Lowry founded Thomas Mechanical with nothing more than a toolbox, a pickup truck, and a vision to become South Carolina’s leading mechanical contractor. After years as a sales engineer with Trane and in various leadership roles at other mechanical firms, Martin believed he could build something better — and set out to prove it. What began as a 3-person operation quickly grew into a multimillion-dollar, full-service company specializing in HVAC, process piping, and metal fabrication. In 2015, Thomas Mechanical expanded its capabilities to include fire protection, further strengthening its ability to serve as a single-source partner. Clients across South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia rely on us for expert design, seamless installation, and responsive maintenance across commercial, industrial and residential markets.
